For over 22 years, we’ve been designing accessible restrooms because we think that everyone should have access to safe, inexpensive bathing. To join the AHM team, we’re searching for experienced and qualified or time-served Bathroom Fitters.
After three months, we offer self-employed opportunities with the potential of becoming full-time employed and receiving a corporate vehicle (subject to passing a probationary period).
We’re searching for people who are courteous, dependable, and have high standards, and who will provide exceptional customer service while we’re on-site in clients’ homes — we’re Check a Trade and Trust Pilot rated, so our reputation is essential to us.
PAY – Self-employed jobs are priced accordingly, earning potential £800 – 1300 p/w and dependent on skills and experience.
Payment terms – 14 days post-installation direct to your bank account (with a valid invoice).
Expenses (mileage, sundried etc)– 7 days directly into your bank account from when receipts are submitted.
Materials allowance – up to £250 per week. The first £150 paid will be paid directly into your bank account within 48 hrs of starting with AHM.
HOURS: Our customers like us to conduct the work Monday-Friday between 8am – 6pm
LOCATIONS: We have showrooms across the UK so we need fitters to install new bathrooms from Yorkshire to Cornwall to Kent and everywhere in between.
Travel time – We know the importance of the work life balance, so we like to keep you as close to home as possible with a maximum of 60 minutes’ drive per job from your home. However, occasionally, we may ask that you stay overnight further afield for a few nights. All accommodation will be pre-booked and paid in advance by our office team.
Support – We have a network of fitters across the UK, some work with us permanently, some on a more casual basis. They are supported by the head office team of schedulers and purchasers who are managed by Nic, she is always available on the end of the phone and there’s nothing that Nic can’t deal with.
Charlie is our full time Director is always available for a chat and he supports Nic and the office-based team when needed.
We also use ‘SLACK’ – an online messaging system that you can use on your phone (for free) to send pictures, information each day to stay connected with the office and other fitters and colleagues. Of course, we do also use the traditional method of speaking on the phone 😊
You’ll be left to your own devices much of the time but you also have peace of mind that that support is there when it’s needed.
Although some training can be provided, you must be qualified or have experience installing mobility bathrooms such as walk-in showers, wet rooms, walk-in bathtubs, and power-assisted baths.
