Yes, we do; our headquarters are in Lincoln, where the company was established, but we have expanded our coverage over the years to include the midlands, east, south, and south west of England.

You will view items and chat with one of our bathing mobility experts in person if you can get to one of our three showrooms in Lincoln, Kent, or Somerset. If not, one of our knowledgeable surveyors will come to your home for a free consultation.

Any bathroom can be changed to make them more usable. The fastest and simplest solution is to install a new shower, either in place of your current shower or in place of your bath.

Our expert surveyors use their extensive product expertise to create a solution that meets your desires, style, and budget. It may be a walk-in bath, a walk-in shower, or a wet room with features like an elevated toilet, shower chairs, grab bars, and slip-resistant flooring.

The priority is that you can bathe comfortably, so the decision is based on your mobility requirements.

It will also be dictated by the available space and your budget. Showers function best in small bathrooms, while larger bathrooms can have enough space for a walk-in bath or an open-plan wet room. We will assist you in selecting a solution that will allow you to bathe safely, look nice, and be enjoyable to use.

Certainly! We understand that selecting a new bathroom can be difficult, particularly with the added complexity of mobility needs. It’s a work that necessitates advanced expertise and experience, and there are so many goods and suppliers to choose from that it can be overwhelming.

We keep it easy. For over 20 years, we have been choosing the right items for our customers; we know what works and what doesn’t. You can count on us to quickly create a design that makes bathing easier while still fitting your budget and style.

It varies depending on the bathroom, but our installs typically take 4 or 5 days. Others are faster than this – for example, if it’s a simple job like replacing a bath, we can always complete it in 2–3 days – while others take slightly longer. It all depends on what you require.

To ensure peace of mind, we always have a fixed price before beginning work. Throughout installation, we will be respectful of your room and ensure that you have access to the facilities you need.

We are pleased to install market-leading open baths manufactured in the United Kingdom by Manteleda, Martek, and Gainsborough. Since accessible baths are built to accommodate accessibility issues, the one you select will be determined by how much assistance you need for bathing as well as your personal preferences.

Walk-in baths, as the name implies, are designed for people who can stand and step into their bath without assistance. Assisted baths are for those who need help bathing from someone else, such as a caregiver. Many assisted baths have a lift to help both the caregiver and the individual bathing.

A powered bath is a type of bath that is driven by power in order to provide a special function such as automatic filling & emptying, a lift or jacuzzi bubbles.

Our walk-in baths  have the possibility of powered functions should you wish. These include heated seats, jacuzzi bubbles and even chromatherapy lights.

We make every effort to reduce disturbance during installation. We put down carpet coverage from the start, and at the end of each day, we clean up and reinstall the necessary facilities.

We leave things tidy and safe. At the end of the job, all rubbish is collected, and we finish by vacuuming with our own equipment.

We occasionally need to turn off the hot water for a brief period of time. This generally happens if your heating system is old and lasts around 1-2 hours.

The cost depends highly on what you require. We go through the options with you and come to an understanding on a design and a price; for your peace of mind, we always set the price before we begin work.

This means that unless we discover something totally unforeseen, if it takes us longer, we will not charge you more.

A smart toilet is one that functions similarly to an automatic bidet. These toilets can be used by anyone, but they are especially useful if you have limited mobility or find it difficult to use a traditional toilet. They can also wash, dry, and sometimes even have heated seats. They can be powered manually or with motion detectors, and the height can be changed to make it easier to get on and off. Absolutely, we value the reviews and feedback we receive from our customers. They can be seen on our Trustpilot and Checkatrade pages.

Yes, we do everything we can to keep you safe. Any AHM staff member who wants to visit your home will wear an ID badge to show their identity.

Before we depart, our technical surveyors conduct a complete risk evaluation on each job, and all jobs are reviewed and signed off with a guarantee to ensure everything meets the required standard.

Any AHM surveyor or fitter who comes to your home will do the following:

  • Be temperature checked on the day they visit your home.
  • Wear face masks or a suitable face covering.
  • Keep a 2m safe distance from anyone in the household.
  • Wash their hands and sanitise any surface they touch.
  • Cordon off any area where work will take place to minimise contact between themselves and the customer.

If we receive word that any member of the AHM team needs to self-isolate, we will contact you right away.

We pride ourselves in supporting UK businesses. We only ever use products that are proven to be safe, and functioning properly, day in and day out. All of the baths, showers and shower trays we use are manufactured here in the UK. All of the shower panels used are produced by a UK business in China.

You are not required to do anything. Having said that, we appreciate that some of the work may be noisy which is why we recommend letting your neighbours know to avoid issues arising.

If you live in assisted living or a block of flats, it would be great if we could be put in contact with the scheme manager/supervisor so we can deal directly with them and not annoy you about stuff like access, parking, and rubbish removal.
